Secures and disseminates information on depressive mental illness.  Provides educational lectures, workshops, empathy, fellowship and hope to members.

Vicki Sandifer: Program Director
Individual Support and Recovery Group – A 6-8 week support and education group aimed at enhancing coping and self-sufficiency skills for persons recovering from mental illness.
MESA Family Support Group – An 8-12 week support and education program for family members of persons with persistent mental illness that focuses on self-care,    stress reduction, and community resources.
Men and Depression Support Group – A 6-8 week discussion, education and   support group for men who have depression.
Survivors of Loss to Death by Suicide – A 6 week support group for those who have lost a family member or friend to suicide.

A modest fee based on a sliding scale will be charged for participation in some groups; however no one will be denied service due to inability to pay.  Please call the MHACV Program Director at 847-9055 or e-mail vsandifer@mhacv.org for further information regarding dates and times, or to make a referral.

This is a monthly Support Group meeting at 2:00pm on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.  Located in the Fellowship Hall at Memorial Christian Church.  This group has been running continuously for 15 years to support family members and friends of those who suffer with mental illness.  The group is focusing on the needs of the family members and friends through education and understanding of the ups and downs of living with mental illness.
